PAY GRADE:

Min - $68,000 Mid- $85,000 Max - $110,500

NATURE OF WORK:

This position is for providing support to the Advanced Applications related to the Energy Management System. Additionally, this position will provide support for the OATI applications utilized for FMPP, ECC, and Transmission Planning functions.

BASIC JOB DUTIES:

1. Implement and maintain software related to the EMS Advanced Applications project (State Estimator, Power Flow, Contingency Analysis, Training Simulator, Automatic Generation Control)
2. Maintain and enhance OATI software applications (Energy accounting and scheduling).
3. Support the general needs of the Energy Management System as assigned.
4. Provide support to the Operational Planning Group's needs related to the Advanced Applications.
5. Attend training and study independently to develop skills and knowledge relating to transmission planning and operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent related education/experience.
Minimum seven (7) years software development experience (in multiple environments) employing formal software development methodologies.
Including five (5) years of experience in transmission planning, transmission operations, energy management/SCADA systems, or energy accounting and scheduling.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in object oriented programming and web programming languages (.NET Framework, C++, C#, Java, etc.) Demonstrated knowledge and experience in relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle).

Desired requirements include:

Familiarity with power systems operations.
Industry related certifications (Microsoft, Java, Oracle, etc.)
Knowledge of secure coding practices.

NORMAL WORKING HOURS: Generally M-F, 8-5 some flexibility
